Oslo Cathedral

During the festival high mass on the Feast of the Annunciation, the Oslo Cathedral Youth Choir, singers from the Oslo Cathedral Choir, soprano Ditte Marie Bræin, alto Mari Askvik, tenor Øystein Stensheim, and bass Halvor Melien will participate. Together, they will perform J.S. Bach's Magnificat, BWV 243. The conductors are Sindre Hugo Bjerkestrand and Vivianne Sydnes. The officiants are Dean Pål Kristian Balstad and the Bishop of Oslo, and the organist is the chief cathedral cantor Marcus André Berg.

The Swedish Margareta Church

For the Feast of the Annunciation service, Gothenburg Cathedral’s Girls’ Choir and conductor Petter Ekberg will perform works by Egil Hovland and Gabriel Fauré. The parish priests take part and the organist is Per Anders Håvelsrud.

Uranienborg Church

Uranienborg Church’s choir school celebrates their five-year anniversary with a commissioned work by Marianne Reidarsdatter Eriksen. The festival is co-commissioner of the work. Eriksen has composed a new Magnificat, which is performed for its premiere by Uranienborg Church’s choir school, Uranienborg Vocal Ensemble, and Inger-Lise Ulsrud on the organ. Priests: Sjur Isaksen and Jonas Lind Asgedom. Cantors: Inger-Lise Ulsrud on organ, Henriette Skagen, Liv Marie Hofseth, and Elisabeth Holte.
