The festival’s popular Boysen bus is still rolling. This time, Olav Rune Bastrup and Espen Melbø will bring the audience on a journey through Bærum’s unexplored organ treasures. The trip starts with the beautiful 18 stop Gustavson/Mads Kjærsgaard organ in Bryn Church near Rykkin. Next, the trip takes us to Helgerud Church, where the audience will experience the church’s magnificent Gangfløt organ with 29 stops from 1982. This is the biggest organ the firm delivered, and the first Jan Ryde voiced in Norway before starting his own firm. The tour ends with the Magnusson organ in Jar Church with 36 stops, a grand instrument deserving of far more attention.

Olav Rune Bastrup has previously been the organist at Grønland Church, and is now an active writer. Bastrup has been a part of the Boysen bus since 2019.

Espen Melbø is cathedral organist in Tønsberg Cathedral and a virtuoso concert organist.
